The Purpose of this program is to spark Virginia Tech engineering students' interets in having more global experiences and to give them a broader knowledge base with the sharing of cross disciplinary skills. This program gives rising sophomore engineers, who usually have the fewest opportunities to study abroad, a great opportunity to study in and experience multiple cultures. Students who are accepted into the program sign up for a three credit course titled "Global Issues in Art, Culture, and Engineering."
